Seems target reps, attorneys etc put a damper on his previoulsy indepth responses and makes me cynical as to whats really goign on w/target in the city and the agreements/$ invovled for this project and the connection. the moderators responses/answers seemed rather short, evasive and inconclusive and talked as if target was already there.
otherwise-great meeting.
and there is always meeting #3! and more community input!PuzzleMaster of Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03975070899847843283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7569046838598986140.post-84950884763977347882010-08-11T10:33:43.610-07:002010-08-11T10:33:43.610-07:00I told Mr. Mirabdal after the meeting last night t...I told Mr. Mirabdal after the meeting last night that the SFMTA should adjust the timing the traffic lights to reflect the posted 25 MPH speed limit before the next public meeting. I believe that we would see a much calmer street immediately.Doug Dibollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13451896205739358784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7569046838598986140.post-15162254247746224992010-08-11T09:58:06.671-07:002010-08-11T09:58:06.671-07:00The problem with B and the shifting bike lane is t...The problem with B and the shifting bike lane is that you would see bicyclists being forced into the ONLY lane of traffic when cars are attempting to parallel park during the legal hours. I like option D, biased as I am, I only use Masonic as a bike route.Alexhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03126690168042571353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7569046838598986140.post-29687857576733545382010-08-11T09:37:40.447-07:002010-08-11T09:37:40.447-07:00Parked cars should be on the outside of the bike l...Parked cars should be on the outside of the bike lane to avoid valencia st. mistakes (cars double-parked in the bike lane all the time). of these, i guess option d would be the best.Samirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15190480233890039155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7569046838598986140.post-10910036024293010302010-08-11T08:28:02.470-07:002010-08-11T08:28:02.470-07:00It seems like Option B delivers much of what the c...It seems like Option B delivers much of what the community wants: bike lanes, turn pockets, increased planting, and it wouldn't lead to a big drop in vehicle + Muni LOS. But some unanswered questions are how it would be paid for (big $ for medians) and also whether the shifting bike lane is an adequate facility to help cyclists feel safe. I was unable to attend and appreciate the info presented here...Dale Danleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15431921274687093617noreply@blogger.com
